Description

This is a late 18th-century house, originally built as a double-depth plan dwelling, and now partly used as offices. It is constructed of brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a stone plinth, quoins, a moulded eaves cornice featuring consoles, and a coped parapet. The roof is tiled, with stone-coped gables and a brick end stack. The house is three storeys high, with a five-window front. The central doorway retains its original six-panelled design, topped with a decorative fanlight, and is framed by stone Doric columns supporting an entablature and dentilled pediment. The ground and first floors have twelve-pane sash windows on either side of the door. The central sash window on the first floor has a moulded surround and hood. The second floor windows to the left and right are nine-pane sashes, with a nine-pane sash centrally placed with a moulded surround. All windows have stone sills, with brick flat arches, except for those in the central bay. The rear of the building has been opened up to create an entrance. Inside, the passage and a room to the right feature a dentilled cornice. The windows in the room to the right have panelled surrounds, and a niche is adorned with a dentilled cornice.
