Description

This is a pair of cottages built in the early 19th century, situated on the South side of Stoke Road in North Curry. The cottages are constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a plinth of blue lias rubble. They have roofs of plain clay tiles, with a coped verge to the left gable end, and brick chimney stacks. The plan is a 2-cell layout with a cross passage and a rear projection. The cottages are two storeys high and have 12-pane sash windows. There is a blind central bay on the first floor above the entrance. The front door is a 6-panel flush door with two lights, and it is sheltered by an original coffered pentice porch supported on shaped brackets.
