Description
Withycombe Barn is a field barn dating from the late 17th century to the 18th century. It features a timber frame with square framing and tension braces, along with brick infill and a top course of weatherboarding. The barn has a high brick and lias plinth and is topped with an old tile roof. It consists of three bays, although the doors have largely been replaced with corrugated iron. The return sides of the barn display jowled posts and weatherboarded gables. Inside, there are retaining walls and diagonal braces, as well as jowled posts and a queen strut roof.
