Description

This field barn, located at SP 0993 6310, dates from the 17th to 18th century. It is timber framed with square framing and tension braces, featuring brick infill and air vents. The barn has a high coursed lias and brick plinth and is topped with an old tile roof. It consists of three bays, although the central doors are missing. The gables on the return sides are weatherboarded. At the rear, there are remains of plank doors. Inside, the barn includes a retaining wall with braces, a tie beam with braces, and a queen strut roof.
