Description

Ivy Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century, built in two phases. It is constructed of squared, coursed ironstone with quoins, and has a thatched roof with a brick ridge and end stacks. The house is one storey high with an attic, and originally had a two-window front. A modern, part-glazed door has been added to the left, alongside a modern two-light casement window. To the right is another modern two-light casement. A three-light casement window is set into the left gable end, with a two-light casement above, both of which are modern. Inside, there are two open fireplaces with chamfered brassuers, one featuring ogee stops. A chamfered spine beam is also present.
