Description
The building is a shop known as the SPAR store, which was formerly a house or two cottages, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of ironstone ashlar and features a plinth, a storey band, and a coped gable on the left side. The roof is slate with brick end stacks, one of which is damaged. The building has two storeys and a two-window range, with a two-unit plan.
On the left side, there is a 19th-century plank door, and to the right, a glazed door. Both doors have lintels with keyblocks. On both floors, there are 19th-century three-light casements; the ground floor windows have lintels and keyblocks, while the first-floor windows have wooden lintels. Additionally, there is a small stone light to the left of the first floor. At the rear, there is a large 20th-century breeze block extension. The interior has been significantly altered, but the spine beams remain.
