Description
The Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century, with alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone with a tile roof, brick ridge and end stacks. The house is two storeys and an attic, with a four-window front. A six-panel door is located to the right of the left-end window, and it has a moulded stone surround and a moulded stone hood. The windows are irregularly spaced and include three-light leaded casements with timber lintels. The ground floor middle window and the window to the right are four-light casements, and a small one-light window is located at the far right. With the exception of the latter and those windows either side of the door, all windows have hood moulds. A chamfered plinth is present, and a small arch provides access for a foot-scraper to the right of the door. The gables are stone coped with kneelers. The interior was not inspected.
