Description

The Stone House is a house dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone with a corrugated iron roof and brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and is arranged over two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. The central entrance features a four-panel, part-glazed door within a chamfered wood surround, covered by a 20th-century gabled hood. A straight joint marks the boundary with the building to the left, and a blocked door is visible to the right. The ground floor has a three-light casement window to the left and right of the door, along with a one-light window to the far right; the first floor has two-light casements. All ground and first-floor windows have rendered stone surrounds. Quoins are present, and the gables are stone-coped with kneelers.
