Description

This is a house, dating to the 17th century, that was extended and remodelled in the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone with a thatched roof, and has brick end and ridge stacks set on stone bases. The house is two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. A part-glazed door is located on the right-hand side, topped by a timber lintel and a hood supported by wrought-iron brackets. The ground floor windows are 4-pane sashes with curved tops and cemented hood moulds. The first floor has 3-light casement windows, with similar hood moulds in eyebrow dormers. A Gothick ironwork porch provides access to the main entrance at the rear. A two-storey wing, with a ridged pantile roof, extends from the rear right side. Inside, one room features a cross-beamed ceiling and an open fireplace.
