Description
Number 24 is a cottage dating from the 18th century, constructed of coursed ironstone rubble with a cob back wall and a thatched roof. It features brick stacks at the ends and along the ridge. The building has a three-unit plan and is two stories high with a four-window range. The main front, which faces the left side, includes a 20th-century door located to the right of the center, along with two- and three-light 20th-century casement windows, all of which have timber lintels. There is a 20th-century plank back door at the far left. The gable end facing the street has a stone-coped gable with kneelers and features a two-light window in an eyebrow dormer on the first floor, positioned at the far left. At the far end, there is a two-bay cob barn that has a tie-beam collar truss roof. Inside the cottage, there are ogee-stop-chamfered spine beams and a collar truss roof.
