Description

Well Meadow Cottage is a house located in Tanworth-in-Arden, dating from the 17th century, with a probable refronting in the 18th century and alterations made in the 19th century. The building features timber framing with painted brick facades and a plain-tile roof, arranged in a three-unit plan.

The exterior is single-storey with an attic and has a three-window range. The entrance is off-centre to the right and consists of a six-panelled door with two glazed panels. There are three bay windows and a brick dentilled eaves cornice, along with a ridge stack. The attic includes three gabled dormers with 20th-century casements.

Inside, the cottage shows evidence of timber framing at the left end and has exposed beams. There is an inglenook fireplace on the right with a bressumer beam. All the listed buildings on The Green form a group.
