Description
Tanworth Cottage, Oak Cottage, and Arden Meads are three houses located in Tanworth-in-Arden, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries with later alterations.
Tanworth Cottage, situated on the left, is constructed of brick with a stucco front and features a tile roof with a brick end stack. It has a single-unit layout facing the street, is two storeys high, and has a single-window range. The entrance is through a 20th-century porch that includes a plank door, with a 20th-century window to the right and an attic window above.
Oak Cottage is a single-storey building with an attic and is laid in Flemish bond brickwork. It has a tile roof with a brick ridge stack and a two-unit plan. The façade displays a three-window range topped with a modillioned brick cornice. The central entrance features a plank door in a moulded frame, sheltered by a gabled hood, and is flanked by mostly renewed three-light casement windows, along with three dormers.
Arden Meads, located to the right, is also two storeys high and has a two-window range. It is built of brick laid in Flemish bond and has a slate roof with brick internal stacks. The ground floor features a brick plat band and a modillioned brick cornice at the top. The entrance, positioned left of centre, is covered by a 20th-century porch. To the left, there is a window with a brick label mould over an 8/8 sash in a flush wood frame, with two similar windows on the first floor.
The buildings on The Green are listed as a group due to their architectural significance.
