Description
Timbers Cottage is a house located on The Green in Tanworth-in-Arden. It likely dates from the mid to late 18th century, although it has earlier origins and has undergone later additions and alterations. The building is constructed of pinkish-brown brick in Flemish bond and features a renewed gabled plain-tile roof. It has a three-unit plan and is a single-storey structure with an attic, displaying a three-window range.
The entrance is situated to the left and consists of a plank door with a moulded wood surround. To the left of the entrance is a 20th-century casement window with multi-pane glazing, both of which are set under cambered arches. On the right side, there are two canted bay windows, each with multi-pane glazing. Below the eaves, there is a small off-centre fire window. The building features a brick dentilled eaves course and three gabled roof dormers, all with multi-pane casements. There is an off-centre ridge stack on the right side and a catslide roof at the rear.
The listed buildings on The Green are recognized as a group.
