Description

The Hunting Lodge is a house dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, built in two stages. It features a small timber frame with arched braces and painted plaster infill, topped with gabled plain-tile roofs and brick stacks. The layout consists of three units arranged in a 1:2 configuration with a lobby entrance.

The exterior has two storeys and a four-window range. The entrance, located off-centre to the right, includes a timber-framed porch with a hipped roof and a plank door with rails and strap hinges. The ground floor has five 20th-century windows, while the first floor features two renewed casements and a two-light wood casement. A catslide roof is present at the rear.

Inside, there is an inglenook fireplace with a bressumer beam in the central room, along with remnants of an inglenook in the right room. The interior also includes plank doors, stop-chamfered beams, a winder staircase, and an exposed wall plate. It is believed that the building was used as a hunting lodge.
