Description
Ivy Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that has been much restored and partly rebuilt. The right part of the cottage is timber framed with late 20th-century brick infill, while the left half is made of brick only. It features a late 20th-century tile roof with a central lias stack, which has been patched or added to in brick. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is two storeys high, with a two-window range. The entrance is located at the rear. The ground floor has four 20th-century casements with leaded lights. There is also a 20th-century outshut with a catslide roof at the rear. Inside, you can find exposed framing and a section of exposed wattle on the first floor, along with an open fireplace that has a chamfered bressumer.
