Description

This 18th-century byre is located approximately 50 meters south of Oversley Castle (which is not included in the listing). The building is L-shaped, constructed of red brick with a timber-framed front wall and a half-hipped plain tile roof. A projecting brick section forms the front-left portion, which has a coursed squared lias plinth. It comprises nine bays, with a timber-framed, weatherboarded front featuring wooden doors. The roof is a nine-bay queen post roof with clasped principals and some machined struts. The building is listed for group value only.
