Description
Church Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was formerly two separate dwellings and has undergone later alterations. The building features a timber frame with brick infill, while the right return side and part of the rear have been rebuilt in brick. The left side has an old tile roof, while the right side is covered with 20th-century tiles, and there are brick stacks at the ridge and left end. The cottage has a four-unit plan, is one storey high with an attic, and has a three-window range. The 19th-century casements have horizontal glazing bars and vary in configuration with two, four, one, and two lights. The swept dormers feature old wood and iron three-light casements with glazing bars. The left return side displays jowled posts, and there is a 20th-century door located in a recessed porch. A 20th-century rendered wing is present at the rear, and the right return side includes a 20th-century conservatory. There is a half-glazed door inside, but the interior has not been inspected.
