Description

The Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with a 19th-century rear wing and a late 20th-century left range, along with other 19th and 20th-century additions. It features timber framing with brick infill on a coursed lias plinth, while the 19th-century wing is constructed of large bricks. The roofs are covered with late 20th-century tiles, and there are brick stacks at the ends. The building has a two-unit plan that extends to an L-shape with the wing on the left at the rear. It stands two storeys high and has a two-window range.

At the front, there is a central 19th-century open-fronted brick porch with a hipped tile roof. Inside, there is a partially blocked doorway that has a late 20th-century two-light casement. To the left, there is a large old three-light casement, and to the right, a smaller three-light casement, both featuring glazing bars. The first floor has mid to late 20th-century casements, with a three-light window on the left and a two-light window on the right. To the right, there is a single-storey range from the 19th or 20th century. The rear wing has two windows, with an additional one-window range further back. There is a half-glazed porch at the rear with a late 20th-century glazed door and a lean-to roof, along with two-light casements that also have glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
