Description

Milford House is a late 18th-century house located on Long Itchington Road, Birdingbury. The house is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with moulded brick detailing and a dentil double cornice. The roof is tiled, hipped on the right side, with brick stacks on the left end and ridge. The building is arranged in an L-shape, with a wing extending to the rear. It has two storeys and an attic, and originally featured a four-window front. A flush six-panelled door, in the second bay, is protected by a painted wood doorcase of pilaster strips and an open pediment, and has a fanlight and panelled reveals. The windows are timber, mullioned and transomed casements with segmental brick arches. Two hipped roof dormers have two-light casements with glazing bars. A 20th-century bay window is incorporated into the right return side. The interior has not been inspected.
