Description

Emmens Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with 20th-century additions at the rear. It features large timber framing with painted brick infill and a recent plain tile roof, along with 17th-century brick stacks at the rear. The cottage has a two-unit plan, is one storey high with an attic, and has a two-window range. The central entrance is a 20th-century leaded glazed door set beneath a 20th-century gabled porch. To the right, there is a three-light casement window, and to the left, there is another three-light casement, along with a single-light casement at the far left. The cottage also has two probably 20th-century gabled full-dormers with two-light casements. The roof is half-hipped, and queen-post roof trusses are visible at the left and right hand returns. The interior has not been inspected.
