Description
Vines Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of flint with brick dressings on the left side, red brick on the ground floor to the right, and what appears to be a false 19th-century timber frame on the first floor to the right, featuring rendered panels. It has brick stacks and a three-unit cross passage plan. The farmhouse is two storeys tall with an attic and has a four-window range.
A 20th-century glazed door is located to the left of the centre, which is sheltered by a 20th-century gabled timber frame porch with brick infill at the base. There are two 12-pane horned sash windows to the left and four 12-pane horned sash windows to the right. On the first floor, there is a 5-light 19th-century wooden casement window to the left, a 3-light 19th-century wooden casement above the porch, a 4-light 19th-century wooden casement to the right of centre, and a 3-light 19th-century casement to the far right. The roof features a cross-gable to the left with a 3-light 19th-century wooden casement. There is a brick stack at the left end and a ridge stack to the right of centre.
