Description

Post Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill and a plain tile roof, along with a brick end stack on the right side. The main front of the cottage is positioned at right angles to the road and it has two storeys with a three-window range. There is a 20th-century door to the left, which is located under a lean-to on the left return. The cottage has irregularly placed casement windows and brick buttresses on the ground floor. A tiled slope runs between the ground and first floor at the front and right return, and there is an outshut at the rear. Inside, there is a timber spiral staircase, and the timber frame structure is still intact.
