Description

Pond House is probably a late 17th-century house with an early 18th-century front. It is built of knapped flint with brick dressings to the ground floor, and red brick with flared headers to the first floor. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and brick stacks are located at the left end and rear of the building. The house follows a two-unit plan and has two storeys, with a three-window front. The central doorway is topped by a flat hood supported by fluted Doric half columns. The ground floor windows are tripartite sashes with glazing bars, while the first floor has three 16-pane sashes. A queen post roof truss is visible to the left return. A single-storey wing extends to the left and has a half-hipped roof, incorporating timber framing with brick infill to the gable. The interior has not been inspected.
