Description

Willow Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that has been altered, with the addition of a parallel brick range dating to the 18th or 19th century. The front range is timber-framed with rough-cast infill panels, while the rear range is brick. It has steeply pitched, parallel pantile roofs. The cottage is two storeys high and has four constructional bays, featuring a midrail and straight bracing at the eaves of the end and centre posts. The third bay on the ground floor is divided by a post, possibly indicating a former doorway. Modern casement windows, of one or two lights, are fitted into each panel. Lean-to additions are present on each gable wall, and a 90-degree brick rear wing, which is not of particular interest, has been added. The interior has been heavily altered, and a central stack has been removed.
