Description

Black Horse Cottage and Woodbine Cottage are two cottages dating from the late 17th century. They are built of squared, coursed lias stone, with Black Horse Cottage on the right banded with limestone and featuring quoins. The cottages have thatched roofs with brick ridges and end stacks. They are one storey plus an attic, each with a single-window range and single-unit plans. Both cottages have 18th-century plank doors with wood lintels and 20th-century casements on the right. There are also two 19th-century two-light casements with brick surrounds in eyebrow dormers. The interiors have not been inspected but are likely to be of interest. These cottages are included for their group value.
