Description

Nos. 1 and 2 Black's Cottage are a pair of cottages built in the mid to late 18th century. They are constructed from roughly finished limestone rubble and feature a stone slate roof. The cottages have a two-unit plan and rise to two storeys. Each cottage has external stone end stacks with offsets. The front facade has four windows; the first floor contains two-light wooden casements, while the ground floor has one- and three-light wooden casements, all with wooden lintels, and most of the windows are leaded. There are also a pair of boarded doors with wooden lintels. A later parallel range has been added to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
