Description

School Cottages are three houses built in 1836 and 1837. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble and feature a gabled stone slate roof with end stacks made of stone finished in engineering brick. Each house has a two-storey, two-window layout, with timber lintels above the central plank doors and window openings. The houses on the right and left have 20th-century windows, while the central house retains three 19th-century two-light leaded casements with iron opening lights. The interiors have not been inspected. These cottages were endowed by Reverend Charles Lee, who also supported Parrotts School during his time as rector from 1825 to 1856.
