Description

Balliol Cottage is a house dating from 1834, featuring two ranges constructed from coursed limestone rubble with a gabled stone slate roof and stone end stacks. The building has a two-storey, two-window range on each side. The right range includes timber lintels over a central 20th-century window and two-light leaded casements. The left range has timber lintels over a 20th-century door and window, along with similar leaded casements in the left bay. There are rear outshuts with a Welsh slate roof and a half-leaded two-light casement. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage was endowed by Reverend Charles Lee, who also supported Parrotts School during his time as rector from 1825 to 1836.
