Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. It is built of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof, along with brick stacks at the ends and rear. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, comprising a five-window range. The front elevation is symmetrical with a four-window range, showcasing cambered stone arches above early 19th-century six-pane sash windows on the left. To the right, there are similar arches over a 20th-century door with an overlight and similar sash windows; the roof includes two gabled dormers. At the rear, early 19th-century two-storey outshuts flank a stair turret, and there is a gabled two-storey wing to the rear right. A mid-19th-century one-storey service range is located to the right. Inside, there is a 19th-century dog-leg staircase with stick balusters, which has been renewed on the lower flight, and a large early 19th-century fireplace with a mantled wood surround to the right. The interior also features cased beams.
