Description
Park House is a late 18th-century brick house located on Church Street in Shipston on Stour. The brick is laid in a Flemish bond pattern, with a stone string course running along the first floor and a moulded stone eaves cornice to the central section. The house has a stone-coped brick parapet and a slate half-hipped roof, with a brick end stack. It is two storeys tall, plus an attic, and has a three-window front, with the central bay projecting slightly forward. The house follows a double-depth plan. A six-panelled door, with its original overlight and pilaster surround within a Doric porch, is situated on the left side. Adjacent to the door is a small, Gothic pointed window with a margin bar. The projecting central bay features a tripartite sash window with 12 panes, set within a round-headed brick arch. To the right of the bay, and to the three first-floor openings, are 12-pane sash windows with flat brick arches. The central, second-storey window has a 6-pane sash with a brick flat arch. The interior was not inspected but is likely to be of interest.
