Description
The Cheltenham and Gloucester Building Society is a shop with a dwelling above, originally built as houses in the late 18th century. It features colourwashed brick in Flemish bond, a first-floor storey band, a moulded stone eaves cornice, and stone coped gables. The slate roof has brick end stacks. The building is three storeys high and has a three-window range with a double depth plan. On the left side, there is a 20th-century door, while the right side has two 20th-century shop front bays, with a door on the far right. A 20th-century hood extends along the length of the ground floor. The first floor has three 19th-century sash windows, and the second floor has two 19th-century sash windows with a blocked window in the centre. All windows feature brick arches and rendered keyblocks that are likely made of ashlar. The interior has been opened out on the ground floor.
