Description
No. 10, also known as Ashra, is a shop that was formerly a house, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of colourwashed brick in Flemish bond, featuring a brick plinth. The building has a 20th-century tile roof and a rendered base to the end stack. It stands two storeys plus an attic with a two-window range and has an L-shaped plan.
At the centre, there is a 20th-century door with a 20th-century shop front bay to the left. To the right, there is a 19th-century canted bay window with a horned sash and a moulded hood. The left side has an additional 20th-century door and shop front. On the first floor, there are 12-pane sash windows with brick flat arches on both the left and right sides, as well as on the left attic gable. A 20th-century gabled dormer is present on the left side. The interior features chamfered spine beams.
