Description

The building known as Philip Morris and Company is a shop that was originally a house, dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. It is constructed from squared, coursed rubble and features a tile roof with a brick ridge stack. The building has two storeys and presents a one-window range. On the left side, there is a 20th-century glazed door with a wooden lintel. To the right, on both the ground and first floors, there is an early 19th-century canted bay. The ground floor bay has a horned 9-pane sash window, while the first floor has an unhorned 12-pane sash window with a moulded hood above it. The interior layout has been opened out.
