Description

Lodge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with rebuilding and alterations from the mid-19th century, along with additions to the left. The building features plastered timber framing, with the main range extended and largely refaced or rebuilt in whitewashed brick. It has old plain-tile roofs that are hipped on the main range, and 19th-century brick ridge stacks. The layout is T-shaped, with a cross wing on the right. The main range has one storey and an attic, with a two-window range, while the cross wing has two storeys and a one-window range.

A part-glazed six-panelled door located at the angle of the building is flanked by 19th-century painted wood pilaster strips and a cornice. The left part of the farmhouse includes a two-light casement window, an early 19th-century three-light wood and iron casement window, and a half-glazed door, all featuring glazing bars and brick segmental arches. There is a 20th-century bow window on the right side. The dormers have cross-glazed three-light casements, and the cross wing has three-light casements with glazing bars. A lean-to structure is present against the right return side.

Inside, a room in the right part of the main range features a broad-chamfered beam, while a room to the left has a partly moulded and partly broad-chamfered beam. The interior also includes fielded four-panelled doors.
