Description
Home Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th century. It features cruck framing with later brick cladding and an old tile roof, which has brick stacks at the ridge and ends. The building is one storey plus attics and has a three-window range. There are 19th-century part-glazed doors on both the left and right sides. The ground storey has 18-pane, 3-light casements, while the 19th-century gabled dormers have 12-pane, 3-light casements. The main facade has 19th-century rendering with painted imitation box-framing and a plinth. At the rear, there are 18th-century timber framing and 19th-century wings. Inside, the farmhouse features ovolo moulded beams with ogee stops, some chamfered beams with plain stops, a large open fireplace, and one pair of cruck blades with a saddle visible, with reports of three additional pairs.
