Description
Terret Close is a house dating from the 16th century, with a front added in the 18th century and alterations made in the 19th century. It features a cruck frame, with render that is likely applied to timber framing, and a thatched roof that is half-hipped to the right. There are areas of plain tiles below the dormers, and a brick ridge stack positioned to the right of center, along with a lateral stack at the front left. The house has a three-unit lobby-entry plan and is a single storey with an attic, presenting a three-window range. A plank door is located to the right of center, topped with a flat hood supported by shaped brackets. The ground floor has three-light wood casements, and there are three swept dormers. Inside, the house features three full cruck trusses and extensive beaming.
