Description
This barn, located approximately 20 meters north of The Hermitage, dates from the early 18th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed dressed and squared red sandstone, featuring a tiled roof with chamfered eaves and a verge parapet. The barn has a two-level plan, with a hay loft situated above cattle sheds. Its long frontage measures approximately 25 meters and includes one hay loft door positioned to the right of center. There are three doors with heavy lintels, with the center door now blocked and replaced by a window to the left. Additionally, there are wide entrances added in the 20th century at both ends of the barn. This structure is included for its group value.
