Description
This barn, located approximately 300 meters north of The Hermitage, dates from the late 17th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed dressed and squared stone, topped with a tiled roof that features a chamfered eaves band and verge parapets. The barn includes a hay loft above the cow sheds. The east front has a projecting catslide that extends from the right of the center to the left end, with slit vents at the upper level. The projecting section contains a central entrance with a chamfered lintel and an additional opening to the right. There is also a large 20th-century full-height sliding door on the side of the right return of the projection.
