Description
This is a barn located immediately to the west of Hermitage Farmhouse, built in the early 19th century. It features a rubble limestone plinth with red brick walling arranged in English garden wall bond and has a pantile roof. The barn is two storeys high and has three openings on the first floor. The central opening consists of a boarded double door set beneath a segmental arch, with a single door to the right, also beneath a segmental arch, and a row of slit vents above. On the first floor, there are boarded hatches on the left and near the centre, and a casement window on the right, with the outer openings featuring segmental arches and additional slit vents. The eaves are cogged, and there are more slit vents on the left return. The right return includes a wooden hoist structure.
