Description

This barn, located approximately 20 meters north of New House Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century and features late 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of coursed dressed and squared stone with a tiled roof, which has verge parapets supported by corbelled kneelers. The barn has a two-level plan, with a hay loft situated above cattle sheds. There are two hay loft doors on the right side, above five ground floor openings. The central trio of openings were all formerly doors, with two on the right now converted into windows, and all have heavy lintels. The doors at each end have lighter lintels, with the one on the right made of concrete.
