Description

This barn, located approximately 20 meters west of New House Farmhouse, is likely from the early 18th century and underwent alterations and extensions in the late 19th century. It is constructed from coursed dressed and squared stone, topped with a tiled roof featuring a quadrant eaves band and verge parapets with pitched copings. The barn has a small two-level layout, with a hay loft situated above a cattle shed. On the south side, there are two hay loft doors, although the ground level is obscured by corrugated lean-to additions that are not included in the listing. The east gable features dove nesting houses and ledges in three tiers at the apex, along with a round-arch top opening below.
