Description

Brook House is a house built around 1840, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from high-quality coursed dressed and squared stone, featuring rusticated ashlar quoins and raised surrounds. The roof is tiled with an eaves band, and there are verge parapets and end stacks. The building is two stories high and has a three-window front. The windows are 20th-century small-pane top-hung casements, and the surrounds have implied voussoirs above the heads. The central window features a round arch with pilaster sides, positioned above the central entrance. The entrance has a pedimented doorcase with consoles and a pulvinated frieze, and it is fitted with a 20th-century glazed door.
