Description

Hawes Farmhouse is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with minor alterations in the late 19th century. It is constructed of coursed dressed and squared stone with a tiled roof, and features verge parapets and end stacks. The symmetrical front elevation has two windows per floor, with block mullioned, three-light casement windows. A late 19th-century gabled porch with wavy bargeboards fronts the central entrance, sheltering a boarded door. A brick lean-to is attached to the right-hand side. The attic is lit by gables.
