Description
The Stones Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1686, which was enlarged in the mid-18th century and altered in the 20th century. It is constructed from painted coursed dressed and squared stone, featuring large quoins in a contrasting colour, and has a tiled roof with verge parapets and a ridge stack positioned above the entrance. The building is 2-storey with an attic on a plinth and has a three-window front. The windows are casements, with the composition offset to the right and a small centre window, positioned to the right of the entrance. The lintel above the entrance is inscribed with "TM 1686". There is a 20th-century part-glazed door. Notably, the eaves were raised significantly in the mid-18th century from the window-head level at the first floor.
