Description
This is a cottage located at 1 Schofield Lane, dating from the 17th century with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The structure is timber framed, featuring some brick rebuilding, and the brickwork and infill panels are now covered with plaster. It has a plain tile roof and a brick stack at one end. The cottage is aligned north-south and faces west. It has one storey and an attic, with three square panels at the eaves and straight braces. On the ground floor to the left, there is a casement window, and to the right, a gabled dormer contains another casement window. There is also a glazed door to the right. The adjacent property, No. 2 Schofield Lane, is located to the right of this cottage.
