Description
The Firs is a house from the late 18th century, constructed of red brick with a slate roof and brick integral end stacks. The main section of the building is aligned north-south and faces west, while a rear range extends to the southeast, creating an L-shape. There is a canted porch located at the angle between the two ranges. The house has three storeys, with the second floor having reduced proportions and a toothed eaves band. It features three windows, which are glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door set within a pedimented door case, topped by a rectangular overlight. At the rear, there is a two-storey canted porch with glazing bar sashes and segmental heads, along with a six-panelled door that has a pilastered and pedimented doorcase and a fanlight with radiating glazing bars within the pediment.
