Description
This barn, located approximately 20 meters north of Haughmond Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century and has undergone some alterations in the late 19th century. It features a timber frame with brick nogging, although some areas have been completely replaced with brickwork. The barn has a tiled roof and is designed with a plan of three structural bays. The square framing on the side elevation originally consisted of four panels, but the lower half has been replaced with brickwork. There is a central hay loft door above an opening on the ground floor, which is flanked by two stable doors. Inside, there is a later inserted floor and two exposed trusses made of tie and collar, supported by two struts. Haughmond Farmhouse is not included in this listing.
