House. Late C17 or early C18 with late C19 and late C20 additions. Timber framed on stone plinth with rendered infill panels, red brick, painted to north; plain tile roofs. One framed bay with later additions. One storey and one storey and attic. Framing: square panels, 2 from sole-plate to wall-plate; long straight tension braces. North front: lower timber framed part to right with two C20 casements; right-hand gable end with possibly reproduction Sun Fire Insurance plate (No.1710) and exposed collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts and V-struts. Left-hand block has 2 gabled semi-dormers with C20 two-light casements, and external brick stacks; central segmental-headed stair window and ground-floor segmental-headed window to left with C20 two-light casement; C20 half-glazed door to right with gabled C20 brick porch. C20 additions to rear and projecting at right-angles to left. Interior not inspected but reputed to contain a timber framed firehood (known as a fumbrell) which is a rare survival.
