Description
Boraston Court is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century and early 19th century, with an earlier wing on the side. The building is constructed of brick and features a dentil course at the eaves, along with a timber-framed wing that has partly brick infill panels and partly weatherboard. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, featuring brick projecting eaves stacks on the left and a central brick ridge stack. The overall plan is H-shaped, with an additional projecting timber-framed wing on the side.
The exterior consists of three storeys on the left and two storeys on the right. The south front has a central two-storey range of single 8/8 sash windows, with a brick segmental arched lintel above the lower window. To the right, there is a six-panelled entrance door with a projecting flat canopy. The right-hand projecting wing has a two-storey range of single 8/8 sash windows, also with brick segmental arches above the lower window. The left-hand projecting wing features a three-storey single-window range of 8/8 sashes, with 4/4 sashes on the second floor, all having segmental brick arches.
On the left return side, there is a three-storey, two-window range of 8/8 sashes, with 4/4 sashes on the second floor, all with brick segmental arched lintels and a central glazed panelled door. The right return side is partly covered by a single-bay timber-framed wing with square-framed panels, brick infilled to the south, and a weatherboarded gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
