Description
This building is a barn and cowhouse located to the south-east of Boraston Court, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of brick with a dentil course at the eaves and has a plain-tile roof. The structure has an L-shaped plan, consisting of a three-bay barn that runs east-west, with a granary and cowhouse forming a cross wing at the rear.
On the exterior, the street front features central boarded barn doors set within a brick segmental arched opening. The flanking brickwork includes diamond-pattern ventilation holes. To the right, there is a boarded door also in a brick segmental arched opening. The gable ends on the right and rear have brickwork with evenly distributed ventilation holes. The rear has boarded openings with segmental arched lintels and central barn doors. The cross wing has two casement windows at the first floor and segmental arched openings below on the east side, with steps leading up to a boarded door on the gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
